More and more companies today are going to a "menu" or "flat-rate" pricing system. This means that they have a set price for a certain service (toilet repair, faucet replacement etc.) regardless of how long it takes or what materials are needed to do the job. They determine this price by taking into account the worst case scenario and applying this price to any job. They claim the advantage to the customer is knowing up front what the job will cost. He may, however, be paying hundreds more than the job should actually cost.
We believe that you should only pay for the materials and labor it takes to do your job, not the last guy whose plumbing is deteriorated or the customer before that had to have emergency overtime work done. Of course, we offer free estimates and bid large jobs such as additions, basement finishes and new construction.
